本馆概况 Overview

山西大同大学图书馆由御东校区图书馆和新平旺校区图书馆组成。总建筑面积为45737.57平方米，其中御东校区图书馆37014平方米、新平旺校区图书馆8723.57平方米。现有各种阅览室48个，其中御东校区34个，新平旺馆14个；馆内可提供阅览座位6579个，其中御东校区馆4997个，新平旺馆1582个；有电子阅览室2个。

我馆本着“以人为本，服务至上，平等互爱，博学远志”的办馆理念，坚持纸质文献资源建设和数字化信息资源建设并重的原则，全力构建文献信息资源体系和服务体系，努力为我校的人才培养、学科建设和科学研究提供有力文献信息保障。

经过数十年来的积累和建设，我馆的馆藏资源不断丰富完善，已覆盖我校所有学科。截至2025年9月30日，馆藏纸质图书314.56万册，购买各类中外文数据库服务23个，有电子图书129.23万册、电子期刊85.36万册、学位论文1663.21万册、各类音视频29.82万小时。逐步形成了大规模、多学科、多载体形式、多出版类型的立体藏书结构。

图书馆立足于学校发展和学生成长需要，不断探索创新，开拓知识服务新领域，提升文献服务能力。目前可为读者提供书刊借阅、座位预约、参考咨询、讲座培训、阅读推广、文献传递、文化交流等多种服务。我馆周开放时间100小时，网络信息服务每天24小时不间断。 

The Library of Shanxi Datong University comprises two branches: the Yudong 

Campus Library and the Xinpingwang Campus Library. The total floor area is 

45,737.57 square meters, with the Yudong branch occupying 37,014 square

 meters and the Xinpingwang branch covering 8,723.57 square meters. The 

library can provide a total of 48 reading rooms (34 at Yudong and 14 at 

Xinpingwang) and offers 6,579 seating spots (4,997 at Yudong and 1,582 at

 Xinpingwang), along with two electronic reading rooms.

Guided by the philosophy of "People-oriented, Service First, Equality and Mutual

Care, Erudition and High  Aspirations," the library adheres to the principle of 

developing both print and digital resources equally. We are dedicated to building

 a comprehensive information resource and service system, striving to provide

 robust support for talent cultivation, discipline construction, and scientific research

at our university.

Through decades of accumulation and development, our collections have grown

 to cover all academic disciplines offered by the university. As of September 

30, 2025, the library holds 3.1456 million printed books and subscribes to 23

 Chinese and foreign databases. Our digital collection includes 1.2923 million

 e-books, 853,600 e-journals, 16.6321 million dissertations and theses,

 and 298,200 hours of audio and video materials. A multi-dimensional collection

 structure—featuring large scale, multidisciplinary coverage, diverse carriers, 

and various publication types—has been firmly established.

Rooted in the needs of university development and student growth, the library

 continuously innovates to expand knowledge services and enhance information 

capabilities. Current services include book and journal circulation, seat 

reservations, reference consultation, lectures and training, reading promotion, 

document delivery, and cultural exchanges. The library is open 100 hours per

 week, with online information services available 24/7.
